Dimakatso Raphoto
Creative Director

Dimakatso Raphoto, a.k.a. Dimi Raph, is a seasoned filmmaker and accomplished producer/director based in South Africa. With over 25 years of experience in the film and television industry, she has honed her skills in research, production, direction, cinematography, and editing. Dimakatso's work, spanning various formats such as news, reality, drama, and lifestyle shows, consistently reflects creativity and a deep passion for life and social justice.

Over the years, she has collaborated on both local and international productions, including projects with VICE (USA), Channel 4 (UK), TED (Australia), and BBC (UK). Notably, her roles encompassed diverse responsibilities like location scouting, interview sourcing, securing permits, conducting interviews (proficient in most of South Africa's 11 official languages), and translation.

Beyond her own award-winning work, Dimakatso is dedicated to nurturing emerging talent, notably from disadvantaged backgrounds. Three years ago, she initiated an informal mentoring program for youth interested in the industry, emphasizing ownership and sustainability.

Dimakatso Raphoto also delved into business aspects, raising funds, making formal supplier agreements, and arranging show commissions. Her multifaceted expertise, combined with a commitment to knowledge transfer, positions her as an ideal partner.

Thabo
Thabo Bopape
Company Director

Thabo Bopape is a South African film and live-events producer. He brings experience in managing, producing, and implementing television programs, indoor and outdoor mass public events, and small and intimate functions.

Thabo’s career began in community access television at Cable De Kalb in Atlanta, Georgia (USA) in 1982. After returning to South Africa in 1993, he formed Nu-Director Productions based in Johannesburg 1994. Later that year, the company was awarded “Best Overall Festival Film” and “Best Documentary” awards from the Weekly Mail - now Mail & Guardian - for the short documentary “Desperate Celebrations” entered in the Weekly Mail Short Film Competition.

He subsequently joined Making Music Productions based in Cape Town, as one of four company directors who together weaved their experience in the fields of music, artist management, event production, media, marketing, and project management. They produced, managed, and/or creatively directed numerous significant events aimed at repositioning Cape Town's City Hall as a cultural space for diverse sound experiences introducing new sounds alongside established acts.

Thabo is passionate about skills development and he has used his skills and experience over the years toward making a difference in other people’s lives.

Inonge is a multi-faceted creative professional whose diverse skill set spans visual artistry, copywriting, UX/UI and web design, course development, and coaching. As the Chief Visionary Officer of the Ko Center Co. - an innovative ed-tech company with a global presence in Austin, Texas, Budapest, Hungary, and Pretoria, South Africa, Inonge orchestrates a harmonious fusion of creativity and education. Specializing in the transformative power of storytelling, she collaborates seamlessly with training and development as well as marketing teams, ensuring a cohesive and compelling language that resonates across personal, business, and societal dimensions.

At the heart of Inonge's expertise is her role as a market strategist, leveraging her copywriting prowess and storytelling finesse to captivate audiences and drive them towards action with a product or service. Her commitment to maintaining consistency, congruence, and conviction in language and vision sets her apart as a dynamic force in the field. In addition to her corporate endeavours, Inonge proudly contributes her talents as a member of Afrika Kuinuka.

Jonathan's journey in the realm of videography and content creation began in Durban, his hometown, where he initially ventured into the field of data capturing at Aptus Recruitment from 2009 to 2012. A pivotal chapter unfolded during his academic pursuits at the University of Kwazulu Natal, where he graduated with an Honours degree in Economic History in 2015. Furthering his scholarly endeavors, Jonathan earned a Masters’ degree in Population Studies in 2019.

 

The fusion of academia and passion for film led him to self-teach videography and become a film enthusiast. This expertise attracted the attention of Inco Creative, a small agency, where Jonathan contributed his skills from February 20, 2020, until 2022. This tenure significantly elevated his proficiency, paving the way for collaborations with diverse brands and personalities.

 

Currently, Jonathan is the videographer and editor, adding another layer to his multifaceted professional journey.

 

Jonathan's dedication to merging academic insights with practical video skills is evident in his mastery of Adobe Creative Suite. This unique blend is showcased in his eclectic YouTube content, which predominantly focuses on documentaries and educational material.
